Photocatalytic Performance Study of Organophosphorus-Doped Tungsten Trioxide and Composite Materials

The present study successfully produced a highly effective and stable organ phosphorus-doped tungsten trioxide (P-WO3) photocatalyst by combination of hydrothermal postcalcination methods. crystallites, morphologies, optical properties the WO3 P-WO3 crystals were investigated. results indicated that P was consistently doped into lattice in pentavalent-oxidation state (P5+). Additionally, charge carrier traps capable accepting photoelectrons created. band gap reduced from 2.4 to 2.33 eV. degradation methyl blue photocatalysts utilized evaluate photocatalytic performance synthesized samples at varied concentrations (MB). sample containing 6% -P-WO3 exhibited best performance, degrading 96 percent MB 120 minutes, which more than four times faster pure sample. practicality determined using two residential wastewater treatment plants. When treating real with low organic matter concentrations, demonstrated strong photodegradation performance. creation hydroxyl radicals (OH) photography-created holes (h+) could be key protagonists activity P-WO3.
